Connect ChatGPT
Add Travelyfe to ChatGPT as a developer mode app.
ChatGPT connects to Travelyfe through developer mode, which lets you add an app for any remote MCP server.
Before You Start
- Plan. Developer mode is available on Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu. Full MCP support, including actions that create or change data, is in beta for Business, Enterprise and Edu. On Plus and Pro, OpenAI currently limits custom apps to read and fetch actions, so ChatGPT can find and read your itineraries but may not be able to create or edit them.
- Where. Set it up at chatgpt.com in a browser. OpenAI says MCP apps are web only and aren't available in the mobile apps.
- Workspaces. On Business, only admins and owners can use developer mode. On Enterprise and Edu, an admin has to grant it to you first.
Connect
In ChatGPT, open Settings and turn on Developer mode. OpenAI's help centre lists it under Apps → Advanced settings; its developer docs list it under Security and login.
In Settings → Apps, choose Create.
Name the app Travelyfe, enter the MCP server URL https://api.travelyfe.com/mcp, and choose OAuth for authentication.
Choose Scan Tools. ChatGPT opens a Travelyfe sign-in page: sign in and approve access, then wait for the scan to finish.
Choose Create. Travelyfe appears under Settings → Apps with a Dev label.
Use It
Start a new chat, choose Developer mode from the + menu and select Travelyfe, or name Travelyfe in your prompt. For example: Use Travelyfe to plan four days in Lisbon in May.
ChatGPT asks you to confirm before actions that change your itineraries. Anything it creates is saved as a private draft, and only you can publish it to Explore.

Disconnect
Remove the app from Settings → Apps in ChatGPT, and revoke its access from Settings → Connected Apps at travelyfe.com.
If ChatGPT stops reaching Travelyfe and asks you to sign in again, reconnect the app from Settings → Apps.
